founded in 1866 as the Portland Light
Battery,
Battery A is one of the oldest artillery units in the United States with
continuous lineage to present day.
Come with us as we document and illustrate this unit and its people from initial organization in the wild new state of Oregon clear thru to its present day duty as an integral part of the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon Army National Guard.
